Anyone who knows me knows how much Marisa means to me. My life pretty much revolves around her. It is something that I'm sure every mother would do if they were in my shoes. My time is the only thing I can give her because the truth is I don't know else to help her.... Let me give you a short introduction to my dear dear daughter.
Marisa just turned 18 on the 19th February. 18!!! I cannot be more grateful than that. Alhamdullilah. She was diagnosed at 4 and hospitals turned her away claiming they're unable to help her. Hospitals in Malaysia that is. She has had two major surgeries and several minor ones overseas. Unfortunately the surgeries weren't able to help her much. She is a true hero because I don't think I can go through what she went through at such a young age. And I feel blessed everyday just by looking at her. Blessed that I'm walking, talking, eating, writing .... basically everything because she's unable to do most of the things I can. She never complains of her illness or what she lacks but she needs help. Lots of it so that's where I come in. Unconditional care, time and love. These three words are free in nature but believe its hard to give. I'm pretty sure I could write a book on her but my writing is so bad so it goes as far as this.
She choose the name 'Just Mar's' for me. My friends calls me 'Mar'. Actually, all my siblings name starts with Mar.... but somehow rather the 'panggilan' Mar stuck with me. Anyhow, when I first decided to have my 'me' time/online business, I wasn't sure what to name it. Had all sorts of odd names. Marisa is always my advisor and she had all sort of suggestions and ideas and the name was the start of it. She said that I can do whatever i want because the business will be just about me , hence 'Just Mar's". Now three years along, she's with me when I take pictures, when I'm putting the outfit together and she even decides what I should buy. She's my partner in life and in business. Managing 'Just Mar's' from home is very important to me because I need to be with her. But she is blessed because she is surrounded by people who loves her. Her dad dotes on her as everyone else does. She's our baby always.
Soooooo, today's blog is about how I got my name 'Just Mar's' and Marisa. Felling sappy as I can't believe it's been that long.
