We arrived yesterday. We're here every other year to keep Mazeed company. He won't admit it but I think he misses the kids and can't be away from them too long. So we tag along, hang out at the beach with the sunblock on hand. He's sweet enough to rush to the hotel to have a quick lunches and calls often enough to check on us. I on the other know the island well enough to drive around so yay...... We get to explore.
Feels kind of odd not having Marisa around though. We always carefully plan our day. What to do , where to go and only go where it's disable friendly . Believe me, Malaysia is not quite there yet. It was always hard to take her to 'touristy' places because they're not disable friendly. So, sometimes when the little kids want to go somewhere Mazhar takes them while I wait in the car for Marisa. Poor Marisa .... Not so fun!!😏
Today , the three kids and I went to the 3D museum. It just opened in February and it was really quite good. Maisarah and Melissa insisted on taking lots and lots of pictures. (Justifies my need for a 64GB phone.) Mazhar whispered to me "Mum, I don't think we could've brought Kakak here." He's right... In spite of how well planned the museum was, I did not see a lift. The number of stairs seemed endless and I wondered if they did have a lift. Then again, I didn't ask if they had a lift because I didn't need one. Another change in my life that I need to get used to......
So that's the first to tick off the mental list I had planned with Marisa. The list I had with her wasn't long but I plan on getting it all ticked off. That includes catching the sunrise and sunset, going to the batik factory and seeing the air show . Hope I can get it done !!!
