Today was a good day. I dragged the kids to the supermarket to buy supplies for the flood victims. Had a list of items they needed so shopping was made heaps easier. Went to the collection centre and made all the kids carry the things in (even Melissa my youngest). Hung around for a bit and explained to them about the flood and why it's important that we must give and help. Not only financially but also our time and effort. As my mum always says "Sedekah bukan duit sahaja, tetapi senyuman, masa dan tenaga". She's always right!!
Anyway, at the centre, there were four elderly men managing the collection of supplies. I admire them spending their whole day there for the good of others. They needed volunteers for sorting out the supplies so I got Mazhar to group his friends to help. He did go so I really hope he made himself useful!!
At the end of the day like now I feel blessed that I'm able to do what I do . Take one step back from Just Mar's and spend some quality time with my family and try to teach them some values in life. I know that once we are back in momentum I have to be five steps ahead. I still have lots of pictures of scarves, blouses and tote bags to be taken so I better get to it!!
